The Situation

Modern Classrooms Project (MCP), a nonprofit creating curriculum tools to help teachers meet the needs of every student, set out to transform how they managed and delivered their curriculum content. Their content was previously stored across Google Sheets and Docs, making it difficult to manage and scale. MCP wanted an Airtable-based system that would streamline their internal workflows, provide a single source of truth for all content, and create a seamless experience for teachers accessing the curriculum.

The Challenge

MCP needed to move quickly to implement a flexible and scalable system that could support their complex curriculum production processes. The system had to codify internal workflows, automate the movement of content through production and approvals, and support a smooth onboarding process for new teacher users. Additionally, MCP required a way to deliver the curriculum to teachers directly within Airtable, ensuring an intuitive user experience across all user groups.

The Solution

The MCP team engaged Burke Consulting to design and deliver an Airtable-based system to support their entire curriculum content creation and delivery process. The solution included a centralized Airtable database, automations to streamline production and onboarding workflows, and custom interfaces for content creators, managers, and teacher users. A management interface provides visibility into key metrics, and detailed documentation and training resources ensured a smooth rollout and long-term adoption.

The Result

With the new system in place, MCP can now manage its curriculum production and delivery entirely within Airtable. Internal teams benefit from streamlined workflows and a reduced manual workload, while teachers can access the curriculum directly through user-friendly interfaces. The system enables MCP to operate with greater efficiency, providing a strong foundation for scaling their content offerings and enhancing the experience for teachers across their growing network.
